Whatsoever Is Lovely
Avengers had such an impact on me, and here’s how to tell: (1) I shelled out 11 bucks TWICE to see it in theaters, and (2) I did fanart. With more to come.
Captain America is my favorite Avenger, hands down. As one of my friends put it, in an age where every hero has to have a “dark side”, Cap’s purity is kind of refreshing. A lot of people put down his character as “too nice” or even that he’s not powerful enough…I think the fact that he can’t fly, or really do anything except be incredibly strong and throw his shield around, makes his goodness just stand out more. Captain America’s best ability is his heroic nature.
Annnnyway. And Chris Evans is just lovely. So I drew him. I am also thinking about doing a short one-off comic (10 pages or so) with a little side story I made up. I don’t know when I’ll get to it, it’s a lot of work for something that will probably be, at best, corny and really only enjoyable to me. But we’ll see.
